Claymore 103 - Review/Summary

Summary:

So this chapter starts where the last one ended. With Priscilla fighting Dauf. Fun fun, lots of action!

Priscilla is very nonchalant as usual, defending poorly, getting broken to pieces and even ask for a break. It was quite funny. While she is sitting down breaking to pieces she begins to remember her cutting off Teresa's head but she can't remember her face. She slowly beings to remember and she gets up quickly defeating Dauf.

Thoughts:

Enjoyed it. Was a great great chapter. I enjoy Priscilla's deadly, amazing, ridiculous strength and the story is well, enjoyable. At the moment the only thing that I'm a touch annoyed about is the fact it's a monthly release. I am very interested in the other part of the story, that being they are simply experiments and there is a real war going on. I want to know!  I can deal with waiting for now, but for only so long.

Doubt - Chapters 3-4

Summary

Early on in the chapter Eiji accuses Hajime of being the killer. His reasoning was that he doesn't like people who can see right through them. Interesting. Hajime insinuates that Eiji is the one that people should suspect being that  Yuu went missing when he went went to see where Eiji went off to. Eiji goes crazy and Mitsuki slaps him. Eiji prepares to punch Mitsuki in the face (woman beater!!), but Yuu sticks his face in the way.  The panel with Eiji's fist in Yuu's face is pretty funny. So he gets punched in the face and bleeds, then bleeds some more and passes out. Then we see that very Sawish panel of the bunny looking at screens.

When Yuu wakes back up he is in a different area. He was moved as everyone else began to explore. Eiji was locked away in a room after he didn't follow instructions and went off on his own and opened a door to a bathroom.  There is a little spat between the group over whether or not they overreacted to locking up Eiji. Yuu agrees but I do not believe he would have if he had a barcode like everyone else.

Yuu says that he has to go to the bathroom and when he does he begins to search his body for a barcode, which of course could not be found, because he doesn't have one.

They go off and find a room which Hajime opens. The room looks like a creepy abandoned hospital room. They continue through and find the man in the rabbit head! End of chapter 3.

So the chapter 4 starts off with where 3 left off, behind the man in the rabbit head! Yuu sneaks up behind the man and pokes him with a stick. He falls out of his chair and is unconscious. Mister Rabbit Head was shot up with lots of morphine. Yuu wonders what type of person he was and takes off his rabbit head. The man has a few scares on his face. Yuu begins to get paranoid when it is mentioned there is a door they would open with his barcode, which we all know doesn't exist.

The rabbit head man, who's now without his head wakes up and goes nuts and attacks Yuu. Yuu kicks him and he spits up some blood. Hajime discovers a thumbtack inside of the mask which he suspects had a fast attacking posion in the case the mask was taken off. Yuu begins to feel guilty saying he's killed the man but Hajime assures him it would have happened anyway being that one of them would have taken off the mask.

In the end the game hasn't ended, dun dun dun.

Thoughts:

Great chapters, good volume. I enjoyed it. Eiji is a bit annoying. He's just... stupid and reacts based on emotions too much. It wouldn't be so bad if his emotions weren't so out of whack. I prefer Hajime, he's probably one of my favorite characters. He's logically and calculated, reminds me of myself.

Later this week, or next week volume 2 will be reviewed.

Naruto - Chapter 494

Summary:

This is going to be a short one.

It's a flashback chapter. Motoi tells them about when he was younger. The 8 tails was put into multiple people; however, none of them could control it and it caused much death. Motoi and most of the villagers hated Bee for being the jinchuuriki. Motoi tried to kill him a few times but he was pretty pathetic at it so of course he never actually did.

There are a few same old flashbacks of Naruto as a kid being bullied and then one panel of them praising him. A giant squid appears and Naruto thinks it's bee but it's pointed out that it's a squid, and then bee comes to save the day. Motoi confesses to Bee and bee just says "Say what! You did?" and smiles.

Thoughts:

Boring and pretty annoying. The only good part about this weeks chapter was the squid which was funny for half a second. I'm not an action junkie, I like story, but this was just slow and boring. Some parts of it just seemed pointless to me. Like the giant squid, or Motoi confessing he tried to kill Bee. He was what, five years old?! That's a hell of a long time ago. I don't think he's going to throw out the friendship for something that happened eons ago. It just seems silly. Maybe it's just me but everyone in this chapter seemed overly dramatic.

Hopefully next week will be better and hopefully Naruto will finally make a move to master the Kyuubi.

Bleach - Deicide 5 - Chapter 403

Summary:

This chapters starts with the massive explosion of Aizen's own reiatsu. Everyone is shocked by the attack but Urahara tells them basically that, that's not all it'll take. Aizen comes back in his new weird alien looking fully Hogyoku and says that if  he wasn't his new self that he would have been defeated. Urahara draws his sword and Isshin attacks Aizen, who by the way, is of course very fast. They manage to get chains around his and race to either side. Aizen takes this as childs play saying "what mockery is this"! This made way for the entrance of YORUICHI!!! Who lands on top of him blasting him with what looks to be her signature, shunko. Awesome explosion, probably the best entrance I've seen. Of course nothing is over because this is Aizen we're talking about. He comes back and attacks Yoruichi taking some of the frabric off her foot. it ends with Aizen saying he's going to crush each one of them. Also he's still evolving, on the last page his sword is merged with him.

Thoughts:

Lovely chapter, love the action, and I loved Yoruichi's entrance. Easily one of my favorite entrances, and I'm not just saying that because I love Yoruichi. It was a very entertaining chapter. I'm just wondering when is Aizen going to stop evolving. Can't wait till next week.

Doubt - Chapter 2 - Game Start

Summary:

It starts with Rei's dead body staked to the wall, just how it ended in chapter 1. The boy with the glasses they figure out is Hajime. He was suppose to show up to the meeting in chapter 1 but the location was changed and he missed them, so he said. Haruka comes into the room and meets the group. She was behind a locked door in the dark, thanks to her fumbling around she managed to somehow scan her barcode, which was placed there by whoever took them, and opened the door. They all find their barcodes and figure out they're used to open doors. Yuu asked about everyones memories but no one remembers anything.

Yuu and Hajime decide to go explore a bit and run into a dark room with some stairs. As they go down they run into a very creepy looking Eiji who was holding a flashlight. Eiji was already down there and just happened to find the flashlight at the same time Yuu was looking for one. They attacked Eiji and ran out of the room. Once they were back in the room Eiji showed up. Who also didn't remember anything.

A text message comes in on Rei's phone and Yuu goes to get it, Eiji snatches the phone away from him saying he wants to make a call, but there is no signal. He opens the text message which says "game start". They argue for a moment with Hajime about whether this is really rabbit doubt or not and then the chapter ends with a very Sawish picture.

Thoughts:

I liked this chapter. I thought there would be more action but it wasn't bad. I enjoyed it and looking forward to reading the rest of it.
